About Daisigns

Hello, I'm Dorothy Emerson, owner and artist of Daisigns (pronounced DY-ZYNZ).

Since 1981, I have lived on California’s Monterey Peninsula, where the region’s natural beauty and floral abundance serve as ongoing inspiration for my artistic work. Wildflowers are a major theme of my portfolio, which I create primarily with watercolors. Over the years, I’ve explored a variety of media and styles, ranging from highly detailed compositions to broader, more expressive pieces. My commissions have included work on fabric, linens, ceramics, and greeting cards.

Currently, I am dedicated to turning my original floral watercolor paintings into repeat patterns for fabric, wallpaper, home décor, and fashion. There is still a wealth of my art to work with, and I look forward to this creative process every day.

Travel has greatly influenced my creative vision, with experiences such as time spent in an Italian art studio in Tuscany and visits to Monet’s home and gardens at Giverny, France, shaping my passion for art.

My fabric and wallcovering designs are available through Spoonflower, a U.S.-based print-on-demand company known for its commitment to sustainability and specialization in fabric, wallpaper, and home décor product manufacturing. Please visit my Shop to view my selection of products and collections, and feel free to reach out with questions or special requests. I am also available for licensing.

Thank you for your interest.

Yours sincerely,

Dorothy Emerson, Owner/Artist, Daisigns
