About Daisigns

Hello and welcome! My name is Dorothy Emerson and I am the owner and artist behind Daisigns!

I have lived on the Monterey Peninsula, California since 1981. My passion for art is directly related to the incredible beauty of the area and the abundance and variety of (wild) flowers. I have used native flowers as one of my major themes, and have otherwise focused on anything floral that inspires me. In the past I have enjoyed using a variety of mediums - watercolors still being my favorite - and have experimented with different styles of painting, from detailed to expansive. I have also been commissioned to paint on fabric and linens to match china patterns for table settings and on ceramics.

Currently, my line includes giclée printed greeting cards, fabrics and designs all using my original art.

Cards - The floral inspired note, gift and holiday cards are sold in sets of 6 and are printed in house on specialty papers. They are then packaged in a clear gift box with matching satin ribbon. Special orders can include your monogram or name and/or can be sent to someone as an original gift.

Fabrics - My work also includes a line of floral related fabrics - a seed that was planted at an Italian art studio in Tuscany back in 1978. Although brief, my experience there is still very much a part of my art and my way of thinking - a constant reminder of the amazing possibilities for creating beautiful art.

Cards and fabrics can be seen and are available for purchase on their respective pages.

I encourage you to reach out if you have any questions and/or special requests. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better.

Yours Sincerely,

Dorothy Emerson
